What You’ll Do


We are seeking a hands-on Staff Software Engineer with expertise in Azure or similar cloud platforms, Node.js, React, and large language models (LLMs) including RAG and fine-tuning to join our innovative team. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to the design and development of cutting-edge solutions that help companies select the best leaders. You will collaborate with a highly skilled team on impactful projects involving LLMs and cloud-based architecture in Azure, using modern tech stacks like Node.js and React. Your expertise will also be valued in providing mentorship to the team and offering input on architectural decisions. 

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain high quality software solutions.
  • Be hands on and lead architectural discussions and decisions, ensuring that the software solutions are scalable, maintainable, and secure. Develop and document architectural designs.
  • Mentor and help our engineering team grow rapidly. 
  • Utilize your expertise in web technologies (React, Node, TypeScript, etc..) and proven track record of developing end-to-end products on the Azure platform. 

You Bring

  • 7+ years of experience in building a variety of end-to-end projects. 
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science or related field. 
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills and project management capabilities.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality.
  • Cloud Architectures: Deep understanding of cloud platforms. Knowledge in Microsoft Azure is a plus. 
  • Technology Assessment: Ability to evaluate and select appropriate technologies to meet business objectives. 
  • Data Modeling: Knowledge of data architectures, including data lakes, data warehouses, and big data solutions.
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server / Postgres and database design. 
  • Front-End Development: Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Familiarity with front-end frameworks like Angular or React.
  • Back-End Development: Understanding of RESTful API design and microservices. Should be well versed in at least one of the following (Django, ASP.NET, Node.js, Typecript, Laravel, Ruby on Rails, etc.)
  • Source Control: Knowledge of Git or other version control systems. 
  • DevOps: Familiarity with Microsoft Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and other Azure services is beneficial. 
  • Cloud: Experience with Microsoft Azure, including Azure App Services, Azure Functions, and other cloud-based Microsoft solutions.

Compensation


Certain US jurisdictions require ghSMART to include a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role. We are built on a culture of freedom and flexibility, we operate fully remotely, and our team members balance deeply energizing, high intensity work, with flexible schedules to support life outside of work. Our compensation model reflects these values. Compensation for this role in the United States includes base salary, annual discretionary performance bonus, 401(k) plan with an annual employer contribution, and a comprehensive benefits package. You should reasonably expect a base salary of $150,000 - $195,000. In addition, we offer an annual competitive performance bonus of $30,000 - $50,000 and the opportunity to buy equity in our fully team owned firm.
