The role
Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Act as a senior hands-on engineer who guides the technical vision for brand-new software offerings. Take responsibility for system design and live operation, lead early builds from idea to release, and lift the skills of experienced colleagues along the way.
What you'll do
- Lead system design for new offerings that are being built from the ground up.
- Convert company goals into multi-quarter engineering plans.
- Guide new offerings from first concept through initial release.
- Be answerable for how production systems behave, covering stability, speed and day-to-day operations.
- Coach experienced engineers and raise the overall quality bar for the team.
- Make progress in situations where the goals and the approach are both still unclear.
Requirements
What we're looking for
- Solid full-stack engineering skills, with TypeScript and React in particular.
- Hands-on experience with AI, or clear examples of using coding assistants to speed up your own work.
- Has owned design and product choices for a released customer-facing application and can discuss the compromises involved.
- Has been the hands-on technical lead for a small group delivering a new product from scratch at a startup or growth-stage company.
- Proven ability to guide technical decisions through persuasion rather than formal authority while remaining an individual contributor.
- Experience steering the technical course of a well-regarded product from its early days.
- Clear reasoning, practical judgment, and the ability to explain technical topics to audiences both inside and outside engineering.

- Base salary: USD 280,000 to 380,000 per year
