We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer – Frontend to design, build, and deliver modern, scalable, secure, and accessible web applications using Next.js, React, and TypeScript.
You will contribute to the development of high-quality digital experiences using modern server-first frontend architecture, reusable design systems, strong engineering practices, and automated testing. You will work within a monorepo environment, collaborate closely with engineers, designers, and product teams, and help drive engineering standards across performance, accessibility, security, observability, and maintainability.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop scalable, production-grade web applications using Next.js 16+, React 19+, and TypeScript 5.9+
Implement modern Next.js App Router patterns including layouts, nested routing, loading and error states, Server Components, Client Components, and server-side data fetching
Apply appropriate React Server Component (RSC) and client-side rendering patterns to optimise application performance and user experience
Develop reusable frontend components and shared libraries within a Turborepo and pnpm-based monorepo
Build user interfaces using CSS/SCSS Modules and enterprise design systems such as Lumen (@lumen/react)
Implement effective state-management strategies using Zustand, SWR, URL parameters, and server-first approaches
Develop comprehensive automated tests using Vitest, React Testing Library, and Playwright
Integrate frontend applications with APIs and gateway solutions, including Kong, JWT-based authentication, and declarative gateway configuration
Implement feature flag-driven development using LaunchDarkly across server-side and client-side application flows
Build accessible digital experiences aligned with WCAG 2.1 AA standards
Apply secure development practices aligned with OWASP Top 10 and enterprise security standards
Implement application observability using OpenTelemetry, OTLP, and structured logging
Maintain high engineering quality through modern tooling including Oxlint, Oxfmt, and React Compiler
Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, solution design, and PR-based engineering collaboration
Follow disciplined Git practices including conventional commits, rebasing, branching, and pull-request workflows
Collaborate with UX, design, product, backend, platform, and engineering teams to deliver consistent and maintainable customer experiences
Required Skills:
Strong hands-on experience in TypeScript and React, with a solid understanding of modern React architecture and development practices
Strong experience with Next.js App Router, including layouts, loading states, routing, Server Components, Client Components, server actions and/or server-side data fetching
Good understanding of React Server Components (RSC) and the ability to determine when server-side versus client-side components should be used
Experience developing applications using TypeScript in strict mode
Experience working within monorepo architectures, preferably using Turborepo, pnpm workspaces, shared packages, and reusable libraries
Strong automated testing experience using tools such as Vitest, React Testing Library, and Playwright
Experience with frontend state and data-management approaches such as Zustand, SWR, URL-based state, and server-first patterns
Experience building reusable UI components using CSS/SCSS Modules and enterprise design systems
Strong understanding of web accessibility and WCAG 2.1 AA standards
Understanding of secure coding practices and OWASP Top 10
Strong Git and collaborative development practices including conventional commits, rebase workflows, code reviews, and PR-based development
