Staff Software Engineer (Data Platform)Experience: 3–5 Years, Team: Data Platform
About the RoleWe are building a modern, engineering-first Data Platform that enables product teams to build reliable, scalable, and self-service data solutions.
This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy solving platform engineering problems—not just building data pipelines. You'll build reusable platform capabilities, automate engineering workflows, and develop scalable systems that power multiple teams across the organization.

What You'll DoBuild reusable platform components and frameworks using Python and Apache Spark.
Develop and maintain production-grade data processing applications on Databricks.
Develop standardized platform capabilities for data ingestion, processing, observability, and governance.
Build APIs, libraries, and automation that improve engineering productivity.
Work with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Delta Lake to build reliable data solutions.
Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
Write clean, maintainable, well-tested production code.
Troubleshoot production issues and drive them to resolution.
Collaborate with engineers across teams to deliver high-quality platform capabilities.
2–4 years of professional software engineering experience.
Strong programming skills in Python.
Hands-on experience with Apache Spark (PySpark).
Experience building applications on AWS/Databricks.
Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals including:
Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
Design Patterns
SOLID Principles
Data Structures & Algorithms
Clean Code Practices
Unit Testing
Experience working with NoSQL/Relational Databases.
Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
Good understanding of scalable and reliable software development practices.
Experience building Data Platform or internal platform capabilities.
Experience with Delta Lake and Lakehouse architecture.
Exposure to Generative AI applications.
Experience building RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) solutions.
Experience with Agentic AI workflows.
Exposure to Docker or Kubernetes.
