The Role
We are looking for a highly skilled SDET to join our Agile development team. In this role, you will not just test software; you will deconstruct complex features to understand their design, build robust automation frameworks, and ensure the resilience of our cloud-based backup solutions.
You will work closely with developers to perform white-box and black-box testing, owning the quality of features from conception to deployment.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Operating Systems & Core Concepts:
- Proficiency in Windows and Linux OS.
- Deep understanding of Threading, Multiprocessing, and Socket Programming.
- Strong knowledge of Networking protocols and Cloud Architecture.
Programming & Scripting:
- Strong proficiency in one or more high-level languages: Python, Golang.
- Experience with SQL databases.
Testing & Tools:
- Expertise in RESTful API testing.
- Proficiency with bug and test management tools (e.g., Jira, XRay).
- Familiarity with Agile testing methodologies and quality metrics.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and debugging capabilities.
Version Control:
- Proficiency with Git or SVN.
Pluses (Nice to Have)
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware).
- Experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).
Key Responsibilities
- Agile Collaboration: Work closely with the development team in an Agile environment to understand functional specifications and design requirements.
- Test Planning: Independently create comprehensive feature test plans aligned with development milestones and feature completion.
- Automation Frameworks: Leverage existing automation frameworks to automate feature tests and actively augment libraries to support new functionalities.
- End-to-End Ownership: Own the complete test execution cycle for user stories, ensuring high-quality delivery.
- Testing Strategy: Perform a mix of automated, manual, white-box, and black-box testing.
- Infrastructure Management: Create, maintain, and document testbed setups and environments.
- Quality Assurance: Timely reporting, tracking, and updating of issues and test cases using management tools.
- Cross-Functional Delivery: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality benchmarks are met throughout the development lifecycle.

- B.Tech / B.E / M.E./ M.Tech (Computer Science) or equivalent.
