What you will do:
- As part of the Engineering organization, and deployed in STS you will act as a Staff Software Engineer for a novel type of aircraft development targeting the autonomous UAM market
- Identify opportunities for simulation infrastructure improvements such as orchestration, scale, core updates, data collection, ICD management, and SDK tools for our internal customers.
- Collaborate with several IPTs (Integrated Product Team) on usability and management of simulation and ICD tools.
- Develop core utilities in Python / C++.
- Provide expertise in simulation infrastructure related to build, automation, and performance.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline with 8 years of relevant experience
- Proficiency in C/C++/Python
- Experience with Protobufs
- Experience in build environments such as cmake, make, Bazel
- Experience scripting in Bash/shell on Linux
- Experience with DevOps: containerization (Docker), packaging (pip, conan), Artifactory/Nexus, Gitlab CI/CD
- Experience in distributed computing: message queuing, pubsub, share memory
- Comfortable working in a fast pace highly iterative environment
- Demonstrated creativity with previous projects
Desired:
- Experience conforming with FMI
- Exposure to aerospace protocols: A429, A664, etc
- Experience with other languages Rust/Go
- Cloud computing: GCP/AWS/Azure
- Experience in embedded systems development
- Real-time systems knowledge and scheduling
