Job Title: Staff Software Engineer
Location: Bengaluru (Hybrid)

PSU Technology group in CBA is responsible for the world class payment service and experience to customer with leading application of technology and operations across every aspect. We also use technology to drive efficient and timely processing, an essential component of great customer service.
Our team is composed of engineers and technology leaders, who bring in the right mix of skills to enable this transformation. We also work very closely with our business and operations colleagues to support these services which are critical to the Australian and Global economy.
Our team is also responsible in driving Engineering Governance, Continuous Delivery and key technological simplification.

Apply software engineering principles and practices in programming technologies and platforms to achieve business outcomes, while building out core technology and domain knowledge required to be effective.
Reporting Lines:
The role position reports into the India Chapter Lead – Chapter Lead Payments System Engineering
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Have experience in building and designing Pega applications
- Implement best practices in PEGA architecture, design & Coding
- Develop and deploy high quality software solutions with comprehensive test coverage without supervision.
- Analyze business objectives and identify functional and non-functional requirements.
- Design and implement technical solutions for functional and non-functional requirements.
- Estimate the development effort for new features.
- Provide mentoring and technical assistance to other members of the team.
- Contribute to the strategic engineering goals within own team / platform
- Champion thought leadership for the process architecture and develop options for improving and updating current capability.
- Undertake any other tasks assigned by your manager that you have the capability to perform safely in line with relevant internal Bank policies and external regulatory requirements.
- Act as an escalation, advice, and decision-making point for Pega Case Management.
- Review and contribute to all reference architecture and Platform initiatives which impact or involve Pega.
- Monitor emerging technologies, industry developments, directions, and best practices.
- Provide specialised expertise and development using Java, JEE and Pega Platform
- Analyzing systems to provide system support and recommendations for development.
- Developing Unit Testing framework and automating System Testing.
- Expert troubleshooting of implementation, environment and deployment issues.
Essential Skills:
- Proven experience (12+ years) in developing Pega applications.
- Pega CSA and CSSA Certified on version 8.x and hands on experience with Pega 8.x
- Experience in designing workflow applications using Pega.
- Experience with process methodology, development methodologies (Agile, SDLC, and Iterative) strongly preferred.
- Object-oriented analysis and design skills and system integration skill
- Experience designing and developing process-based solutions or BPM (business process management)
- Experience in rules and features such as Flows, Activities, User Interface, Flow Actions, Agents, SLA, Correspondence,
- Single Sign-On, External Authentication, PRPC Security, Reports, Listeners (File, MQ), Connectors and SOAP Services etc.
- Certified Senior System Architect (CSSA) (Mandatory)
- CLSA Pega certification (Nice to have).
- Cloud domain knowledge - AWS Certification (Nice to have).
- Experience with Monitoring tool ObservInc , Prometheus & AppDynamics
- Experience working in DevOps model
Education Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree/Master’s degree in Engineering in Computer Science/Information Technology
