Reporting lines

You will report to Engineering Manager / Senior Engineering Manager or similar.

Roles & Responsibilities

Staff Software Engineer will work with our crew tech lead and/or other solution/ enterprise architectures and will be working in a team. He / she will be focusing on finalizing the design and overall solution for development and deployment to our cloud infrastructure. Will optimize solutions to simplify our technology landscape. Solve complex, technical challenges so crews can focus on business outcomes. Will be planning efficient testing strategies, considering reliable and maintainable application components.

Essential Skills

  • Experience: Minimum 11+ years of industry experience
  • Solution Design: Strong experience in finalizing the design and overall solution for multiple enterprise level projects.
  • Development Methodologies: MVC with .NET Core and .NET Framework, REST APIs, Microservices, streaming platforms like Kafka.
  • Test Automation: Unit/Integration/Acceptance testing experience with Selenium (Selenium not required not for DOTi). Experience with NFT tools like JMeter and Security Tools like Snyk,Checkmarx etc.
  • Frontend Technologies: HTML5, CSS and Javascript. Also one of the JS frameworks - either Angular or React
  • Programming Languages: C# with good knowledge of OOPS concepts and design patterns. Any Java knowledge is good to have (for DOTi).
  • CI/CD: Any Git tool for source control. Build tools like TeamCity or Jenkins and experience with deployment tooling like Octopus or similar. Proficient knowledge of Dockers and Kubernetes.
  • Databases: Either of the relational databases like MSSQL / Oracle. Also any No-SQL database like MongoDB etc.
  • Monitoring: Familiarization with Splunk or a similar monitoring tool and performance tooling like AppDynamics.
  • Cloud: Proficiency in either of Cloud providers, preferably AWS or Azure.
  • Soft skills: Excellent communication skills. Working experience with Agile methodologies.
  • Possess qualities of a technical leader who can technically guide other colleagues.

Education Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree/master’s degree in engineering in Computer Science/Information Technology or any similar stream
