The Role

As the go-to expert for all things frontend, you’ll architect and build user interfaces that are not only beautiful but also scalable and performant.  You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams—product, design, and backend—to deliver seamless, world-class user experiences while setting the technical vision for the engineering team.

You will have operated in a hyper growth startup with experience building SaaS products. You will also have a deep understanding of the key challenges engineers face and a firm grasp on design principles in prioritizing key features and capabilities. 

Your superpower is how to bridge the gap between technical specifics and business needs effortlessly and turn high-level designs into real-world solutions. 

You thrive in challenging situations, and you appreciate the dynamics of a flexible, flat-structured work environment. You are quick to grasp the nuances and complexities of developing an AI product healthcare internationally. 

Whilst you will be looked to for technical leadership and coaching, you will still retain a hands-on role, on the tools delivering robust code alongside all our engineers.

What you'll do:

Ultimately you will have the opportunity to work with the engineering mastermind behind Heidi developing Heidi AI products which will change the face of healthcare

• Lead the design and development of scalable frontend systems.

• Architect and maintain reusable components, ensuring consistency across web and mobile platforms.

• Drive collaboration across teams, working with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to create cohesive solutions.

• Set and maintain frontend development standards around performance, accessibility, and user experience.

• Balance delivering new product features alongside managing technical debt.

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to frontend engineers, championing best practices.

• Identify and implement tools, frameworks, and methodologies to improve development efficiency.

• Autonomously deliver beautiful & robust code with considerations on code structure design and scalability.

• Deepdive into weird edge cases and solve hard & tiny problems for our users.

What we'll look for:

• 10+ years of frontend development experience.

• You’ve worked in high-growth environments, scaling frontend systems for SaaS products.

• A focus on fast delivery with quality.

• You have a strong portfolio of building responsive, user-friendly interfaces for web and mobile applications.

• You excel at collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate designs into functional features.

• You’re a natural leader, capable of driving technical strategy and mentoring other engineers.

• Experience/Familiarity with React,  React Query, Next.js. 

• Experience with React Native is a bonus.
