The Role
AMN (Afterpay Media Network) team's mission is to build the largest and most powerful commerce advertising platform in the world, by utilizing Block's data assets across Cash, Square and Afterpay to create advertising solutions that allows advertisers of all types (CPG, QSR, retail, etc) to activate full funnel marketing strategies across a variety of onsite and offsite channels.
You Will
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to build robust data assets, optimize data systems, and deploy machine learning models that power the next generation of our advertising solutions for off-platform advertising.
- Link user identifiers together, and maintain those mappings in various internal Cloud based environments to ensure high quality and data fidelity.
- Design and implement scalable data warehouses for collecting, processing, and storing large volumes of data.
- Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and domain experts to evaluate, gather and process data for development of audience segmentation.
- Develop and implement data quality and validation processes to ensure accuracy.
- Engineer for partner & Ads APIs that enable the future of our advertising business to scale and integrate across a diverse range of advertising technology companies on the buy-side, sell-side and within the world of data tech.
- Integrate with different advertising tools, data platforms, and measurement partners
Your Team Will
- Follow a Scrum methodology
- Be working on unifying our customer data across disparate silos into a unified data lake
- Develop and integrate with our partners' APIs to clean, enrich, and activate data across the advertising ecosystem
You Have
- Have 8+ years of experience writing and deploying high performance production code to deliver business value
- Have 8+ years of experience designing and building efficient real time distributed systems
- Experience with API development
- Experience with building data solution including CDP and closed-loop measurement and reporting
- Understanding of omnichannel advertising ecosystem
- You are self-motivated and not afraid of learning new technologies and you can find your way around sophisticated systems
- You enjoy being a part of a team; You are a respectful and collaborative team player
- Have a product-oriented mindset and look to find technical solutions to business problems
- Excellent communication skills
Nice To Haves
- Experience in the FinTech industry, ideally in buy-side ad tech and identity and limits space with demonstrated knowledge of industry best practices
- Strong knowledge of data and its usage within the world of financial services
- Experience building containerized solutions within Snowflake, AWS and/or GCP
- Strong knowledge of DSPs & CDPs
- Experience working in highly matrixed organizations
Block takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. U.S locations are categorized into one of four zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate's starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.
