Roles and Responsibilities
In this role, the Test Automation lead will play the below responsibilities:
- Test Automation lead for one or more scrum teams
- Drive testing effectiveness in the scrum teams by working closely with the PO, tech leads, scrum masters, and the team members
- Drive a culture of quality through different testing approaches like, design tests, exploratory, unit tests.
- Work closely with PO and LSDs to understand the requirements and how it translates to feature file scenarios.
- Ensure all deliverables of a sprint are adequately tested w.r.t the sub-system requirements to ensure robust software deliverables. Drive the culture of quality within the team.
- Write automated tests for applications and services under test.
- Evangelize, strategize, introduce, and implement testing frameworks to ensure first-class DevOps practices.
- Partner with team members to diagnose bugs/defects and develop automation tests to capture them and work with the team to understand the root cause.
- Adhere to the GE Healthcare Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations.
- Planning PI and sprint for test deliverables, tracking and measuring effectiveness of testing approaches.
- Communicate effectively in a cross-functional, multi-cultural, global environment
- Work closely with sub-system and system level testing teams and be the single point of contact for all test related deliverables for the application development scrum teams.
- Work on optimizing test approaches in the team and ensure a leaner approach as applicable.
- Look at using GENAI to optimize automation test development and reduce test execution time.
- Aware of and comply with Quality Management Systems, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position.
- Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines.
Minimum Educational Qualifications and Relevant experience
- Bachelor's Degree in STEM Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with a minimum of 9+ years' experience out of which minimum of 7+ years of experience in test automation.
- Proven ability to develop timely and effective solutions for challenging testing and debugging complex design problems
Technical Qualifications:
- Strong experience in test automation development using Core Java and Selenium.
- Strong experience in Behaviour Driven Development and Test-Driven Development frameworks (preferably with cucumber & JBehave)
- Knowledge of Gherkin Language
- Strong hands on experience in software testing methodologies including manual and automated testing
- Continuous Integration, Continuous Development experience with Jenkins, GIT or equivalent tools.
- Knowledge of Ubuntu, Linux and Windows OS knowledge
- Knowledge on network protocols
- Knowledge of bugs/defects life cycle.
- Knowledge of HP ALM or equivalent product life cycle management tools
- Knowledge of tools like Rally
- Familiarity with quality system requirements for medical device Design Controls/ Regulatory requirements
- Good to have experience in containerization platforms like Docker & Kubernetes
- Excellent communication and servant leadership skills
- Analytical, Problem-solving and conflict-resolution ability
- Excellent understanding of Agile delivery methodology and experience in working with Scrum teams in a global setup.
- Prior experience in Healthcare/Patient monitoring will be an added advantage.
