Position Summary
As a Staff Software Development Engineer at CVS Health, you will be accountable for enabling strategic, high volume, high impact, and complex technical integrations. The Staff Software Development Engineer will lead a team of engineers for Solutions Engineering, Integration Engineering and Engagement Management. The focus for the team is managing engagement, developing highly scalable & future proofed solutions and end to end implementation. The technical and product acumen for integration, combined with solid collaboration, innovation and alignment mindset is necessary. This role is highly visible in the organization and involves frequent interactions with leaders across multiple business units, Infrastructure, PMO and Operations teams. It also requires extensive interfacing with integration consumers. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about technology, great customer & product experience, active prioritization of work and people development. Clear desire to innovate and delivering on commitments will help fit in to the team culture.
Responsibilities
- Research and propose innovative technical integration strategies and solutions
- Design and modify components of new and existing IT systems and vendor offerings to promote integrated corporate business systems
- Design, support and deploy mechanisms to enhance, refine, and deliver the architecture vision
- Collaborate with Project Managers and technical directors to provision estimates, develop overall implementation solution plan, and serve as a lead as required. Provide lab and vendor support
- Develop frameworks, standards & reference material for architecture and associated products
- Manage the architecture governance activities associated with ensuring compliance within organization
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience developing middleware integration solution or architecting large scale federated systems
- 5+ Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs that are easy to use, scalable and secure
- 3+ years of experience with Cloud Platform like Azure, GCP and AWS
- Experience working with Azure APIM or Google APIGEE or Kong API Gateway platforms, builds and providing API solutions
- Experience in one or more programming languages such as Java micro services, Python, Go, JavaScript, and experience with frameworks such as Spring Boot, Flask, Express.js, etc
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in middleware technologies such as IBM App Connect, DataPower or API Connect
- Working across organization with multiple teams like business areas, infrastructure, operations and PMO. Vendor management including goal alignment, performance evaluation through KPIs and risk mitigation
- Experience with Micro Services in a cloud environment.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or, equivalent experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$118,450.00 - $236,900.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
