About the Team 

The Staff Engineer operates as a technical authority at an organizational level, driving alignment across teams, translating business strategy into technical direction, and elevating the overall engineering maturity of the organization through standards, principles, and high-impact technical leadership.

In a typical week you will

Activities:


  • Define technical vision at an organizational level, including architecture, standards, and engineering practices.
  • Lead high-impact, cross-organizational initiatives such as platform modernization or architectural transformation.
  • Design systems at scale, including multi-system, high-throughput, low-latency, and high-availability environments.
  • Align multiple teams around architectural principles and strategic engineering priorities.
  • Identify and drive large-scale optimization opportunities in performance, resilience, efficiency, and cost.

Responsibilities:


  • Establish and evolve engineering standards across the organization.
  • Anticipate and prevent systemic issues through long-term architectural thinking.
  • Influence both technology and business strategy with strong technical judgment.
  • Elevate engineering capabilities across teams through guidance, mentoring, and standards.
  • Act as a company-wide technical authority in relevant domains and initiatives.
