LastPass is looking for a Staff Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET):
As a Staff Software Development Engineer in Test, you will collaborate with an Agile development team to build a product that serves over 5 million active users. You will take full ownership of, and continuously improve, critical features to secure our customers' digital lives and work.
As a Staff SDET you would:

Who will you work with?
- You will work closely with agile teams responsible for the development and maintenance of authentication-related features.
- You will collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers to shape the future of the product by defining an effective strategy for verifying software. You will be expected to enable the scrum team to create high-quality software.
- You will also work with the support team, assessing and evaluating incoming issues and their severity, helping the team resolve customer issues with speed and quality.
What are some of the exciting challenges you will be working on?
- Participate in requirement analysis, high-level planning, and estimation. Collaborate with product owners and user experience designers to deliver features while meeting team deadlines.
- Advocate for proper analysis and resolution of non-functional requirements, such as high availability, fault tolerance, scalability, etc.
- Assist Product Management in balancing costs and benefits. Avoid "gold plating" while minimizing unmanageable technical debt.
- Test solutions within your team's domain, focusing on writing and maintaining automated tests, while also conducting ad-hoc manual testing for new developments.
- Collaborate with other teams working on the product.
- Create and maintain internal technical documentation.
- Participate in test reviews.
- Engage in community-driven decision-making. Maintain testing guidelines and influence the technical roadmap.
- Work in accordance with established processes.
- Coach and mentor junior and mid-level engineers.
What does it take to work at LastPass?
As a Staff SDET, your background will include:
- Proven experience in a similar role within a diverse team.
- Proven experience in designing and automating test cases, both at the API and E2E levels.
- Strong knowledge of Java / C# and Selenium or any other UI focused testing tool.
- Experience with CI tools.
- Familiarity with version control, build, and bug tracking systems, such as GitLab CI and Jira.
- Solid understanding of QA methodologies and practices, with a passion for software quality.
- Good understanding of the STLC and the ability to identify areas for process improvement.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- A collaborative team player.
- Ability to create and establish best practices.
- Efficiently contributes to the completion of complex tasks.
- Consistently maintains an understanding of the big picture, while also focusing on details and specific tasks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to transfer knowledge effectively.
It's great, but not required:
- Experience in creating and maintaining test frameworks.
- Experience with cloud technologies.
