Position Overview
Braun Intertec is seeking a Staff Scientist II to join our expanding Environmental Compliance and Permitting team in Fort Worth, Texas. In this role, you will support multimedia environmental projects, take ownership of assigned technical tasks and deliverables, and assist project teams in meeting client objectives. You will work alongside experienced professionals on compliance, permitting, reporting, auditing, and site-inspection activities for industrial, energy, and commercial clients. This opportunity is well suited for a detail-oriented professional who wants to strengthen technical expertise, build project management skills, and contribute to the continued growth of Braun Intertec.
Responsibilities
· Support multimedia environmental compliance and permitting projects involving air quality, water, wastewater, Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC), and hazardous waste.
· Assist with technical analyses, regulatory research, data review, and calculations.
· Take ownership of assigned technical tasks and project deliverables, completing work accurately and on schedule while communicating progress, questions, and potential issues.
· Assist with environmental audits, site inspections, compliance evaluations, field documentation, and follow-up actions.
· Support environmental reporting, including Annual Waste Summaries, EPCRA Tier II Reports, SARA Toxics Release Inventory Reports, Air Emissions Inventory Reports, and annual compliance reports.
· Work with project managers and clients to help meet project objectives and scope, schedule, quality, and cost expectations.
· Seek and apply technical mentoring from senior staff while expanding technical knowledge, project ownership, and project management skills.
Required Education, Experience, and Skills
· Bachelor’s degree or higher in Environmental Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
· 0-3 years of direct multimedia regulatory experience or relevant coursework.
· Proficiency with Microsoft platform applications, including Excel, and the ability to organize and analyze data.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Attention to detail, critical thinking, and practical problem-solving skills.
· Ability to manage assigned work, follow through on commitments, and collaborate effectively with project teams.
· Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
· OSHA HAZWOPER training or certification preferred.

Compensation Range:
