Staff Quality Data Engineer - Diagnostics and Telemetry

About the Role

We are seeking a Staff Quality Data Engineer - Diagnostics and Telemetry for ZT Systems' Quality Management Systems teams. This individual will lead efforts in designing our test diagnostics telemetry data collection to enhance our understanding of test failures that impact product quality. The data engineer must be able to learn complex testing methodologies and understand how existing diagnostics can be integrated effectively to provide Engineering teams with new insights into failure data. 
 

What You’ll Do

• Work with test Diagnostics teams and FW teams to understand the low-level diagnostics architecture in Servers and how error handling is designed to work across key components, namely CPUs, GPUs, and APUs.

• Collaborate with Test Development teams to integrate new diagnostics and telemetry collections into the test flow.

• Partner with IT to develop a methodology for collecting logs from many factories in a centralized location to develop databases.

• Design an end-to-end view of silicon through Server Level Test telemetry to track failures throughout the life of the parts.

• Develop Predictive Failure Analytics through Machine Learning and end-to-end telemetry data.

• Review findings from data with cross functional teams such as Test, Component Quality, and Design engineering teams to drive improvement for current and future designs.

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Computer, or Software Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a related field, and 5+ years of experience, preferably in server-level data analysis (alternatively, a Master’s degree and 3+ years of experience). 

• Extensive experience with Server Component level diagnostics. 

• Detailed knowledge of Server and Silicon level architecture in GPU compute products. 

• Strong understanding of the Firmware, Hardware, and Software interaction  

• Experience with Python, C++, SQL (Relational), and JQL (Non-Relational). 

• Demonstrated experience with machine learning on large databases spanning multiple data sets. 

• Proficiency with Power BI, Tableau, Grafana, or similar data visualization tools. 

• Self-motivated with a passion for test diagnostics data. 

• Demonstrated ability to lead team members to successfully solve problems and collaborate with others to implement projects and improvements.
