Job PurposeThe Staff Product Quality Engineer guides the completion of major programs and serves as a technical leader in driving quality strategy and regulatory compliance. This role is critical in building scalable, quality-focused processes from prototyping through full-scale production, influencing stakeholders across R&D, Operations, and external customers.
Key Responsibilities- Lead cross-functional quality initiatives, determining the methods and procedures for new assignments and major program launches.
- Partner with R&D and NPI teams to integrate quality-by-design, ensuring products are manufacturable at scale with minimal defects.
- Serve as a lead subject matter expert in metrology, metallurgical testing, and advanced process validation (Master Validation Plans).
- Drive the quality strategy for advanced manufacturing processes, including the validation of specialized equipment and materials.
- Represent the quality function in high-level MRB discussions and lead escalated product complaint investigations.
- Coach, review, and delegate work to lower-level professionals, acting as a mentor and technical lead for the quality engineering team.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
- 6+ years of quality engineering experience, ideally in advanced manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory standards (FDA QSR, ISO 13485, and/or AS9100).
- Expertise in leading complex validation projects and driving cross-functional stakeholder buy-in.
- Preferred: experience with metal additive manufacturing; experience interfacing with high-tier customers and suppliers.

The annual base salary range for this position is $117,477 to $161,531.
