Product Manager, R&D – Enabling Technologies (m/f/d)
Location: Freiburg im Breisgau or Berlin, Germany
Work Model: Hybrid (75% onsite / 25% remote)
Travel: ~20–30% international
About the Role
As a Product Manager within our Neurotechnology Solutions Team, you act as a key interface between customers, clinical stakeholders, and the development organization.
Working closely with Marketing, Systems Engineering, and senior product leadership, you translate clinical and user needs into well-defined product requirements. You ensure that enabling technology solutions are implemented effectively and deliver value in the operating room.
You contribute to aligning user needs with technical implementation, supporting the development of clinically relevant and competitive solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as an interface between customers, clinical stakeholders, and development teams, in close collaboration with Marketing and under guidance of senior product leadership.
- Translate user needs into clear user stories, requirements, and backlog items together with UX/UI and Systems Engineering
- Support the communication and refinement of product vision, ensuring alignment within the team
- Work closely with engineering teams to ensure feasible and high-quality implementation of product features
- Participate in voice of customer activities, sales interactions, and cadaver labs to validate concepts and refine requirements
- Build and maintain an understanding of neurosurgical and ENT workflows to support clinically relevant solutions
- Support monitoring of market trends and competitor solutions to inform backlog prioritization
- Contribute to prioritization decisions, focusing on delivering high-value features

Your Profile
- Degree in Medical Engineering or a related field
- Initial experience with medical devices preferred
- ~2–5 years of experience in the MedTech industry or a similar environment
- Basic understanding of clinical workflows and user-centered product development
- Experience working in cross-functional, agile teams
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with multiple stakeholders
- Fluent in English
