Grubhub's Customer Support team is seeking a customer obsessed Staff Product Manager. This role is dedicated to improving customer retention metrics such as the 30-day reorder rate, CSAT scores, and more. You will join our team to build the strategy from the ground up, focusing on reducing order flaws, proactively communicating with diners when issues arise, and enhancing the personalization and overall dining experience. This role requires a passion for problem-solving and a deep commitment to putting the customer at the heart of every decision. You will report directly to the Director of Product.
The Impact You Will Drive:

  • Craft and define the vision , strategy and plan to increase customer retention and improve the customer experience. This would be within the Customer Service domain, but also championing your vision throughout the funnel and working across domains.
  • Be an expert on the customer, conducting market research, competitive analysis and customer interviews, in partnership with UX, UXR and Analytics, to inform your product strategy.
  • Leverage data and analytics to inform your product decisions, and use your strong data foundations to inform the direction of the Analytics roadmap.
  • Evangelize your product direction by socializing roadmaps with key business stakeholders, creating forums for feedback, working with executive leadership to gather input and build alignment, and working with engineering, design and other teams to champion key projects.
  • Lead projects through the definitional stages , working to ensure that we're working to solve the right problem and have clearly articulated problem statements and goals identified. Partner with Engineering, Design and stakeholders to make sure the proposed solution solves the defined problem and goals.
  • Act as an owner , ultimately accountable for the execution of the project, working cross-functionally to unblock, pivot, and deliver results. Play a lead role in defining Go To Market strategy to ensure we achieve the desired goals.
  • Actively manage key stakeholders , including Directors & VPs. Ability to read the room and refine content / approach to best serve the audience (VP meeting vs. Director/SPM meeting).


What You Bring to the Table:

  • Experience: 7+ years in digital Product Management, ideally within a customer-centric or e-commerce environment.
  • Strategic Thinker : Proven ability to define complex problems, prioritize effectively, and deliver quickly, particularly in ambiguous situations.
  • Customer-Obsessed: Deep understanding of customer behavior and a track record of successfully improving customer experience and satisfaction metrics.
  • Data Fluency: Proficient in leveraging data analytics to inform product strategy; experience with SQL and BI tools is a plus.
  • Strong Communicator: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Collaborative Leader: Ability to work cross-functionally with stakeholders at all levels and drive alignment toward common goals.
  • Technical Acumen: Strong understanding of system architectures and product development processes, with familiarity in web and mobile application environments.
  • Agile Mindset: Experience working within Agile frameworks; familiarity with OKR methodologies is preferred.

The base salary ranges for this position are below. The ranges provided exclude other forms of compensation such as equity and bonus.
New York: $189,000 - $236,500 base salary range
Grubhub uses geographic-specific salary structures, which means the salary offered may vary depending on where the job is located. The final salary offer will take into account various factors, such as the candidate's skills, education, training, credentials, and experience. In addition to the base salary, the role might also come with equity and other pay incentives as part of the full compensation package.
