Who We Are

Verily is a subsidiary of Alphabet that is using a data-driven approach to change the way people manage their health and the way healthcare is delivered. Launched from Google X in 2015, our purpose is to bring the promise of precision health to everyone, every day. We are focused on generating and activating data from a variety of sources, including clinical, social, behavioral and the real world, to arrive at the best solutions for a person based on a comprehensive view of the evidence. Our unique expertise and capabilities in technology, data science and healthcare enable the entire healthcare ecosystem to drive better health outcomes.

Description

Verily delivers complex healthcare solutions to customers across industry verticals ranging from health systems, to health plans, and to life science companies. These products operate in a highly regulated environment where every component must be version-controlled, governed, and repeatable.

We are seeking a Senior Product Manager to evolve our platform’s configuration and lifecycle management toolset. Your mission is to move Verily away from fragmented, manual processes toward a high-velocity "Configuration-as-Code" foundation including AI-assisted automation.

You will own the problem space where system-level technical integrity meets cross-functional usability. This role requires creating the configuration tooling for individual platform systems, including the lifecycle management to actuate these solutions at scale for customers.

Responsibilities
  • Establish a Configuration-as-Code Foundation: Drive the strategy for a unified, machine-readable configuration layer (e.g. Terraform-like) that serves as the single source of truth for all system states.

  • Obsess Over Unmet User Needs: Practice continuous product discovery with your target end users to identify unmet needs, deliver solutions, and be held accountable to creating impact for your customers.

  • Architect System Tooling: Partner with Engineering to build a robust development environment where technical users can create solution-agnostic configurations that are easily versioned and deployed.

  • Democratize through AI & Observability: Rather than building static UIs for every task, you will architect AI-assistants and targeted visual orchestration layers that allow non-technical domain experts to view, verify, and safely modify configurations.

  • Partner with Internal & External Personas: Initially, you will focus on empowering a wide range of internal personas (e.g. software engineers, solutions engineers, data managers and content designers) to configure solutions. As the platform matures, you will expand these capabilities to external customers for self-service management of their own configurations.

  • Drive Strategic Alignment: Navigate the intersection of technical infrastructure and business needs, negotiating with stakeholders to ensure the configuration layer supports a broad ecosystem of independent platform systems.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Technical Platform Background: 5+ years of experience in Platform Product Management or Systems Engineering, with a deep understanding of infrastructure and configuration management.

  • IaC & SDLC Mastery: Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and deep fluency in CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and automated testing.

  • Stakeholder Negotiation: Exceptional ability to negotiate with and align internal technical and non-technical stakeholders to drive a unified product vision.

  • Scale & Complexity: Proven track record of managing multi-tenant ecosystems and version-controlled platforms in high-growth environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • AI & Innovation: Experience building Agentic AI or LLM-driven workflow automation to abstract technical complexity.

  • Healthcare Domain: Familiarity with FHIR data resources, clinical informatics, and interoperability standards.

  • Regulated Environments: Experience navigating HIPAA, GxP, or other healthcare compliance frameworks.
