Lemonade is the digital insurance company built on social impact.
The Role
Lead end-to-end European market entry strategy: define personas, segmentation, packaging, pricing, and value propositions. Design and ship scalable, customer-focused product experiences with AI-driven automation and data-informed decisions. Build high-quality foundational versions, align cross-functional teams, and drive rapid ideation-to-launch cycles while operating in a founder-mode, high-agency manner.
Summary Generated by Built In

We're looking for a Staff Product Manager to architect our expansion into European markets and scale our mission from millions to billions of users.

This isn't about localizing what we've built; it's about figuring out how to win a new market from scratch. You'll be the strategic architect of our expansion strategy, shaping the proposition, packaging, and segmentation that makes Lemonade the most loved insurance brand across Europe. You are a founder-mode leader with the high agency to navigate complex market entry and the product sense to ship winning experiences that change lives.
At Lemonade, we are Makers. We care about autonomous thinkers who move fast. As a Staff PM, you are AI-native and eager to bake that intelligence into our exoskeleton.

We believe three things matter for every role at Lemonade: drive to push through challenges, efficiency that keeps standards high while moving fast, and adaptability that lets you pivot with data and AI insights. These aren't buzzwords, they're how we actually work.

Our AI-first approach isn't just a tagline either. We're building the future of insurance with AI at the center, and we need people who are genuinely excited to learn and grow alongside these tools.

In this role you'll:
  • Own the 0 to 1 of market expansion - nail the personas, segmentation, packaging, and value proposition that allow us to win

  • Identify moments of truth and design delightful, winning experiences that feel native but scale globally

  • Build winning experiences not just features - ensure every product is honest, transparent, and addresses customer needs with precision and soul.

  • Invest in the smallest details to make hard moments comforting and dull moments fun

  • Think automation and scale in everything. Use data for unfair advantage and build tools that free our team to focus on empathy and big-picture creativity

  • Design best-in-class vision and trace back to lay solid foundation - ensure first versions are high-quality building blocks for the next three years

  • Harmonize input from diverse makers and help teams converge on decisions quickly to move from ideation to launch with agility

What you'll need:
  • 7+ years of product management experience with proven track record leading successful market expansions or high-stakes global product launches

  • Exceptional product sense - spidey sense for what makes products successful and relentless bar for customer experience

  • Strategic and data-driven approach to customer personas and segmentation, using data-first thinking to package and price products for new audiences

  • High agency mindset - proactive owner who finds a way through obstacles rather than waiting for permission

  • Communication mastery - ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and tell compelling stories about why and how we'll win in new markets

  • Enthusiasm about learning and adapting to the exciting world of AI - a commitment to exploring this field is a fundamental part of our culture

  • Ready to work in an office environment most days of the week

Skills Required

  • 7+ years product management experience with proven track record leading market expansions or global product launches
  • Experience owning 0-to-1 market entry: personas, segmentation, packaging, and value proposition
  • Exceptional product sense and high standards for customer experience
  • Strategic, data-driven approach to customer personas, segmentation, packaging, and pricing
  • High agency and proactive ownership mindset
  • Strong communication and stakeholder influence skills
  • Enthusiasm for AI and commitment to incorporating AI-driven insights into product
  • Willingness to work in an office environment most days

What We Do

Our mission is simple: Create the world’s most loved insurance through technology and social impact. As a certified Public Benefit Corporation and B-Corp, Lemonade is constantly challenging how the insurance industry does business. We’re creating an experience that is fast, affordable, and hassle-free across renters, homeowners, pet, life and car insurance. And through our annual Giveback program, in which leftover premiums are donated to charities our customers choose, we’ve donated nearly $5 million to a variety of organizations in need.

Why Work With Us

We’ve set out to make insurance loveable, fast, simple, and socially impactful - words that aren’t often associated with this industry. We’re a Certified B-corp, the only US insurance company to never invest in polluting industries, and our annual Giveback program has donated nearly $5 million globally to nonprofits in need.
