The Role
Founded in 2015, VGS is the world's leader in payment tokenization and trusted credential management platform, depended on by Fortune 500 companies, merchants, fintechs, and banks alike. Our mission is to revolutionize the way sensitive data is stored and secured, enabling organizations to manage information across cards, bank accounts, and digital wallets with ease.

VGS stores sensitive data and tackles critical payment acceptance challenges such as multi-PSP management, card issuance, payment orchestration enablement, PCI compliance, and the protection of personally identifiable information (PII). We provide our clients with complete ownership, control and insights into their payment data, driving growth and enhancing user experiences across industries.

VGS offers a comprehensive suite of solutions, including a composable Card Management Platform, a PCI-compliant Vault, and advanced network value-added services such as Network TokensAccount Updater, and Card Attributes. Our innovative technologies empower businesses to boost revenue through higher authorization rates, reduce fraud, and streamline operations—all while seamlessly integrating with existing tech stacks.

At VGS, we're not just securing payments—we're empowering businesses to unlock new possibilities in the ever-evolving payment landscape.

We are looking for an experienced technical product leader who is passionate about building great B2B product experiences and can help drive the next generation of enterprise-focused tooling. In this role, you will work across our company and customer base to deliver products in the service of security, compliance, SRE teams, as well as back-end engineers. You will need to understand users, products, and business needs to define new capabilities in our proxy services, CLI, observability tooling, private networking capabilities, batch file processing, and enterprise authentication and user management systems. We seek a curious, tech-minded, and highly resourceful PM to rapidly build and iterate solutions to help users receive best-in-class products. This team looks to maintain a high-quality experience for all VGS developer products.

What you will be doing at VGS...

  • Product Discovery: Meet with product and engineering leaders from our customers to understand problems and how they map to business needs.
  • Product Strategy: Define technical requirements, prioritize features, and create product roadmaps to align with business objectives and customer needs.
  • Product Design: Conceptualize easy-to-use technical interfaces and partner with UX Designers and Engineers from various disciplines to develop high-fidelity experiences. Continuously engage with clients to identify key challenges, prioritize, and build engaging solutions through the UI.
  • API Development: Define API interface concepts, user stories, and create detailed feature specifications for development teams.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Lead cross-functional teams (Engineering, UX, Testing, Sales, Project Management, Legal, Security, etc.) to deliver against the product roadmap.
  • Launch and Support: Own launch-related activities, including customer onboarding, integration support, creating implementation guides, and training.
  • Customer Engagement: Advise executive-level technical and business stakeholders on industry best practices for solving complex technical problems. Coordinate cross-functionally to create presentations, documentation, and technical marketing assets that communicate the value of VGS products and services.
  • Performance Analysis: Define and track KPIs and analytics to report product performance, inform decision-making, and guide future roadmap.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicate new features and roadmaps to various stakeholders and provide updates to management.
  • Defining standards and patterns for APIs, connectivity, observability, access management, and production configuration via the CLI, Dashboard, and IAC tooling.

What we are looking for from you (requirements)...

  • Experience: 10+ years in software engineering tooling development, product management, or related areas. Recent software engineering experience is required, with a track record of launching initiatives that involve building APIs, O11y, private networking, enterprise authentication systems, and other developer technologies.
  • Communication Skills: This position involves communicating new ideas to customers, executives, GTM leaders, and implementation teams. Therefore, strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills are required to be successful in this role. This includes writing technical documentation that is ready to be published online and that can be included in technical RFP presentations.
  • Technical Expertise: This role is designed to collaborate with customer engineers and build enterprise-grade products to help simplify their lives. Candidates must have a deep understanding of software best practices and hands-on keyboard experience building software applications.
  • Business Acumen: Strong business acumen with the ability to develop features and develop interfaces that drive excellent customer experience, strong value proposition, and scale.
  • Leadership: Detail-oriented, problem-solver, metrics-focused, and results-driven, with the ability to lead operational execution.
  • Collaboration: Highly proactive, customer-focused, agile mindset. Must be comfortable dealing with a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working on B2B or B2B2C products and directly engaging with customers.

  • Nice to Have:

  • Experience working on data-heavy and high-throughput products
  • Experience working with GTM teams to bring new products to market
