We seek someone with experience and expertise in managing data, databases, and data integrations at enterprise scale. 

In this role, you will own the product vision and execute the feature roadmap, deliver the right features for our internal and external customers, ensure our documentation covers our use cases, and ensure Collibra remains on top of an ever-evolving data ecosystem. 

You will collaborate with primary stakeholders, including: 

  • Our product and technical teams, including product management, architecture, engineering, testing, operations, research, design, and more
  • Our business teams, including marketing, sales and pre-sales, customer success, professional services, and more
  • Our ecosystem partners and other service providers
  • Our customers’ business and technical teams 

You will report directly to the VP of Product for Core Platform.  

Staff Product Managers at Collibra are responsible for:

  • Developing the data product vision, delivering on the feature roadmap, and ensuring adoption by internal and external users
  • Overseeing planning and execution for their product teams
  • Owning product delivery commitments and outcomes by managing the backlog and milestones of your teams
  • Collaborating with the extended product and engineering org 
  • Tracking the progress, mitigating the risks, and managing the dependencies of your product deliverables 
  • Understanding pain points and industry trends to provide new product ideas and make data-informed decisions 

You Have:

  • Experience with Postgres, GraphQL, Debezium, CDC, and other data technologies is a must
  • Proven track record of growth and increasing product management responsibilities in other fast-paced, dynamic environments
  • Experience gathering technical requirements, creating specifications and workflow documents for product and feature releases; proficient in presentations, experience with Jira a plus 
  • Proficiency with Agile, CI/CD, DevOps, GitOps, and SDLC models 
  • 7+ years of experience in Product Management or Technical Management (PM/PO/technical lead)
  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

  • Within your first month, you will: 
    • Get to know the product and the business domain
    • Grasp Collibra’s agile and product development process
    • Facilitate the team’s sprint planning
  • Within your third month, you will: 
    • Understand the current state of the team’s work
    • Be able to handle incoming bug requests and other issues
    • Manage the backlog
  • Within your sixth month, you will: 
    • Be able to build a longer-term vision
    • Own a rollout plan

Compensation for this role

The standard base salary range for this position is $176,000 - $257,000 per year. This position is not eligible for additional commission-based compensation. Salary offers are based on a combination of factors, including, but not limited to, experience, skills, and location.

In addition to base salary, we offer equity ownership at every level, bonus potential, a Flex Fund monthly stipend, pension/401k plans, and more.
