We are looking for a strategic, user-focused, and data-driven Staff Product Manager to lead efforts on Auto Targeting and Core 1P Targeting (Keywords, Communities, Interests), empowering advertisers to reach their ideal audiences and optimize for business value.

The Reddit Ads team is poised to innovate and grow rapidly like never before. This is a unique opportunity to join a high-performing team that will shape how we monetize the Reddit platform and help connect Redditors with brands they love. 

We are building automated advertising solutions for advertisers across the full funnel. We’re driving forward ads automation to help advertisers reach, engage, and acquire users through a suite of ML-driven Targeting products including Auto Targeting for lower and upper funnel and Core 1P Targeting including Keywords, Interest, and Communities.

Role description:

We are seeking a product owner of our Auto Targeting and Core 1P Targeting efforts (Keywords, Communities, Interests). This is one of our most impactful areas and this role will be critical in shaping and driving the success of multiple strategic initiatives in Reddit Ads. You will develop the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the area. You will work closely with multiple teams across the ads platform (examples: ads signals, ads retrieval, ads manager, ads reporting, ads optimization, etc.) to build solutions that help both brand and performance advertisers succeed.  Furthermore, you will partner closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, design, data science, sales, marketing, and external partners to build world-class products that deliver value for both advertisers and Reddit users. 

As a member of a critical Ads team and an important product area impacting the full funnel, you will have significant ownership and responsibility in shaping Reddit’s overall ads automation and monetization strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Product Strategy & vision: Define and own the long-term vision and strategy for Auto Targeting and Core 1P Targeting on Reddit (Keywords, Communities, Interests), aligning it with broader business goals and market trends in Ad Targeting in the industry.
  • Requirements gathering: Gather insights from advertisers, agencies, and sales to understand their pain points and needs. Translate these insights into innovative automated ad targeting products that drive video views, clicks, conversions, and app installs for advertisers.
  • Leadership: Be the owner and champion of Reddit’s Auto Targeting and Core 1P targeting products. Drive energy and excitement for the product area within the organization and help all cross-functional teams deliver holistic solutions that make advertisers successful.
  • Roadmap Ownership: Build and scale Automated Targeting solutions that leverage Reddit’s unique data, driving efficiency and value for advertisers. Develop, prioritize, maintain, and execute the product roadmap for Auto Targeting and Core 1P targeting across all Reddit teams, balancing short-term wins with long-term innovation. 
  • Driving execution: Choose success metrics, set goals, and create accountability within the company. Help them deliver against the roadmap.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, data science, design, user research, sales, marketing, legal, and other teams to ensure smooth product development. Act as the glue that keeps stakeholders aligned and on track.
  • Communication: As a senior member of the Product Management team and the product owner of a business line, you’ll regularly communicate across functions and the entire ads team, including frequently presenting to C-level executives.
  • Market Analysis: Stay current with the latest trends, technologies, and competitive landscape in the fast-moving world of ad targeting to inform product decisions.

Required Qualifications:

  • 6-8+ years of product management experience, with at least 4 years within AdTech
  • End-to-end experience with building Targeting advertising solutions
  • Experience driving strategy with Machine Learning based AdTech products 
  • A track record of developing and championing product strategy and vision with quantifiable business impact
  • A compelling influencer with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational and execution skills.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Technical degree (computer science, engineering, mathematics, economics or related field)
  • Deep experience with Machine Learning is a strong plus
  • Proven experience working on large initiatives, across teams, and on highly cross-functional products

In addition to base salary, this job is eligible to receive equity in the form of restricted stock units, and depending on the position offered, it may also be eligible to receive a commission. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including, skills, depth of work experience and relevant licenses/credentials, and may vary from the amounts listed below.

The base pay range for this position is:

$206,700$289,400 USD
