Staff Product Engineer

We're looking for a Senior Product Engineer to build the core product experiences that power Nectar's platform. You'll work on the interfaces that allow brands to understand, manage, and respond to social conversations using AI.

This role combines strong frontend engineering with product thinking. You'll collaborate closely with design and product leadership to ship high-quality user experiences that turn complex social data into intuitive, actionable tools.

• Build AI-powered product experiences such as conversation inboxes, AI-suggested replies, and summarization of social conversations into actionable insights

• Improve shared components, design systems, and frontend architecture to enable faster and higher-quality product development

• Optimize performance and reliability across the application as the platform scales to support thousands of daily users

• Collaborate closely with product and design teams to deliver intuitive workflows for brand and marketing teams

• Write architecture documentation and help guide decisions around frontend infrastructure, performance, and tooling

• Mentor engineers and contribute to engineering standards and best practices

• Strong product engineering experience building complex, data-rich web applications using React

• Deep familiarity with modern frontend tooling and state management patterns

• Strong user empathy and product intuition when designing and building features

• Interest in mentoring engineers and helping shape engineering culture as the team grows

• Curiosity about how AI is transforming software development and interest in AI-assisted engineering workflows

• Comfort working in a fast-moving startup environment with high ownership and end-to-end responsibility

• Experience building AI-powered user interfaces or LLM-integrated product features

• Familiarity with modern frontend stacks such as React, TypeScript, Shadcn, or Zustand

• Experience building analytics dashboards or data-heavy interfaces

• Previous experience working at an early-stage or rapidly scaling startup
