Why this role?
We are looking for a Staff Product Designer to join our AI incubations team, working on a new AI first product as well as shaping what design means in the AI era for Snyk.
In this role, you’ll work directly with the Director of Technology Incubation, as well as product, engineering, sales, marketing and other Founders in residence to launch a portfolio of brand-new products in the AI Security space.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead foundational and strategic research to define the future of AI UX, uncovering latent needs and opportunities in how developers interact with security tools.
- Partner with leaders across the company to define and drive the vision for a new class of AI products, shaping the roadmap from concept to launch and beyond.
- Own the design strategy for our most ambitious new initiative, leading a highly complex, zero-to-one project that will redefine our product category.
- Spearhead workshops and strategic design sprints to navigate ambiguity, align cross-functional teams, and rapidly prototype new ways that humans work with AI.
- Architect the end-to-end user journeys, creating visionary concepts and service blueprints.
- Collaborate with the Design System team to craft hi-fidelity design artifacts.
- Lead highly complex projects in developer tools and cloud security with practicality and influence.
- Share your skills, coach other designers, and help to build our world class design team.
What You Bring:
- 8+ years of relevant experience in product design, applying a wide range of techniques to define and solve complex design problems.
- User-centred design methodology and practice, with strong critical thinking skills to understand user wants vs. user needs.
- Experience designing complex enterprise applications collaboratively across multiple R&D teams.
- Strong story-telling skills to interact with executive stakeholders, a range of customer scenarios and more.

- Can share your experience building AI (side) projects like terminal chat interfaces, RAG agents, AI pipelines or similar.
- Can code.
- Are passionate about developer tooling or cybersecurity.
