Staff Procurement Analyst

About the Role

The Sr. Procurement Analyst will be responsible for day-to-day management of their assigned part category. Key responsibilities include ensuring continuous supply availability to production, demand forecasting, inventory management, communication with vendors and internal teams, and excess & obsolete inventory management. The Sr. Procurement Analyst’s primary function is to enable manufacturing with optimal inventory levels while minimizing supply interruptions at the lowest costs possible.
 

What You Will Do

• Create and maintain purchase orders and be responsible for all associated activity from initial quoting through invoicing

• Work closely with warehouse and accounting personnel to avoid any inventory and invoice discrepancies

• Manage and maintain proper business relationships with assigned suppliers

• Maintain proper inventory levels to support production requirements while minimizing excess and aging inventory

• Responsible for reviewing open orders with suppliers to resolve supplier related questions/issues

• Maintain accurate control of purchase orders, amendments, shipping notices and other related documents for your assigned category components

• Maintain and analyze existing inventory forecast models and related metrics

• Work within identified KPIs including but not limited to supplier performance and inventory levels

• Analyze monthly category spend and provide Excel reports to management

• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy within roles and responsibility parameters

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related major and 2+ years of experience in a buying or purchasing function with Supply Chain background (alternatively a Master’s degree and 0+ years of experience).

• Manufacturing industry experience preferred

• Basic understanding of procurement principles and practices

• Must be a good communicator with both internal and external stakeholders

• Ability to partner with and lead cross functional teams

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

• Analytical problem solving with the ability to multi-task

• Experience in data analysis and reporting skills

• Proactive, positive, deliberate, and focused thinking

• Microsoft Office Skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)

• Software proficiency:

  • Excel – vlookups, pivot tables, etc.

  • SAP and Tableau – preferred but not required

• Excellent verbal and written communication
   

ZT Systems assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package is created for all our employees. The typical base salary for this position is expected to be between $87,375 -and $128,150 per year. If hired, the final base salary will be determined on an individual basis taking into consideration experience, skills, knowledge, education and/or certifications.
