Silver Oaks Behavioral Hospital provides mental health and substance use disorder treatment for adolescents to senior adults.
Pharmacy Location: Located within Silver Oaks Behavioral Hospital 1004 Pawlak Pkwy New Lenox, IL 60451
Hours of Operation: Monday through Friday 7:30am to 4pm and Saturdays and Sundays 7:30am to 1pm
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Reviews, verifies, and dispenses medication orders to ensure appropriateness, safety, and accuracy
  • Provides clinical pharmacy services, including medication therapy management and pharmacokinetic dosing and monitoring
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and care teams to optimize medication regimens for hospitalized patients
  • Oversee sterile and non-sterile compounding activities, ensuring compliance with USP and hospital standards
  • Monitors patient outcomes and medication safety, identifying and preventing adverse drug events
  • Supervises and supports pharmacy technicians and interns, ensuring efficient and compliant workflow
  • Ensures regulatory and accreditation compliance, including Joint Commission, state, and federal requirements

Required Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy- ACPE-accredited pharmacy degree
  • Active Illinois state pharmacist license in good standing
  • 2+ years of pharmacist experience in a hospital setting
  • Skilled with pharmacy systems and Microsoft Office
  • Demonstrated ability to review, verify, and dispense medication orders to ensure appropriateness, safety, and accuracy
  • Demonstrated ability to provide clinical pharmacy services, including medication therapy management and pharmacokinetic dosing and monitoring
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with physicians, nurses, and care teams to optimize medication regimens for hospitalized patients
  • Demonstrated ability to monitor patient outcomes and medication safety, identifying and preventing adverse drug events
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise and support pharmacy technicians and interns, ensuring efficient and compliant workflow
  • Demonstrated ability to ensure regulatory and accreditation compliance, including Joint Commission, state, and federal requirements

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $16 - $29 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
