The Marketing Team at Shield AI is hiring a Motion Designer focused on creating dynamic, high-impact motion graphics and animations that bring our brand, technology, and mission to life. You are a creative problem solver with strong design and animation skills, capable of translating complex concepts into visually engaging, story-driven motion content. You’ll collaborate closely with designers, and video editors to develop assets for marketing campaigns, product launches, and social channels.
You have a solid foundation in design fundamentals including composition, typography, color, and timing, and you are skilled in Adobe After Effects, Illustrator, and Premiere Pro. You build and own motion templates that uphold brand consistency, and optimize workflows across creative teams. You balance multiple projects, respond effectively to feedback, and deliver refined, on-brand motion assets under tight timelines.
This role may occasionally include light video editing or 3D animation. You bring a passion for design, a strong eye for detail, and a deep understanding of how animation enhances storytelling and engagement.
What You'll Do
- Design and animate high-quality motion graphics for videos, campaigns, product explainers, and digital channels.
- Work closely with Marketing leadership to define Shield AI’s motion and video brand across platforms.
- Collaborate across marketing, creative, and product teams to bring ideas from concept through delivery.
- Maintain Shield AI’s visual identity through consistent motion design standards and templates.
- Create assets optimized for multiple platforms and aspect ratios including 16:9, 9:16, and 1:1.
- Support video editors with animated elements, transitions, and branded graphics.
- Manage multiple concurrent projects and deliver on tight production schedules.
- Prepare files, organize assets, and ensure version control and quality control of deliverables.
Required Qualifications
- 8-10 years of professional experience in motion design, animation, or a related field.
- Expert proficiency in Adobe After Effects, Illustrator, and Premiere Pro.
- Strong design fundamentals in layout, composition, color, and typography.
- Proven ability to create visually engaging content across formats and platforms.
- Strong communication, organization, and project management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, iterative environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with 3D animation in Cinema 4D, Blender, or Unreal Engine.
- Familiarity with sound design, compositing, and visual effects.
- Experience developing and maintaining motion systems or brand toolkits.
- Understanding of creative production for aerospace, defense, or technology sectors.

Salary compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, licenses and certifications, and specific work location. All offers are contingent on a cleared background and possible reference check. Military fellows and part-time employees are not eligible for benefits.
