Job Description

The position requires demonstrated working knowledge of engineering principles and business practices to successfully plan and execute a diverse range of engineering projects. The primary focus of this position will be mining projects that focus on lithium, limestone, coal, salt, potash, phosphates, and other industrial and critical minerals. 

The ideal candidate will support both surface and underground projects for mining companies and work with a team of engineers and geologists on multiple projects concurrently.

Qualifications

Ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Bachelor of science or master of science degree in mining, or geological/geotechnical engineering from an ABET accredited university
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in mining operations, with exposure to both underground and open-pit environments
  • Proficiency of mining-related software such as Deswik, Carlson, Surpac, Vulcan, and other commercial packages
  • Understanding mine design, planning and scheduling methodologies.

Compensation: Salary depends on experience and expertise. Compensation includes a comprehensive fringe-benefits package. RESPEC is a 100% employee-owned company and employees are eligible for participation in the Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) after a qualifying period.
