Job SummaryTo support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Staff Mechanical Engineer located in Kallang, Singapore.
What a typical day looks like:
In charge of mechanical design for PSU/BBU/PCU and shelf for data center.
Develop 3D models and drawings for metal/plastic enclosures, PCBA and components with CREO/PRO-E software.
Ability to independently complete all mechanical works such as generate Eng BOM, spec. drawings, documents, packaging designs…etc.
Good problem-solving skill and be able to deeply analyze testing failure mode, such as tolerance stack-up Analysis, review mechanical, thermal, acoustic and reliability testing report.
Work with cross-functional teams to design products and provide solutions to meet customer expectations.
Create products specification and develop manufacturing instructions to support project launch.
Work with manufacturing team and vendors to review and address DFM issue at early stage
Experience we’re looking to add to our team:
Bachelor's Degree or above, Major in Mechanical Engineering
Min. 10 years experiences for mechanical design and at least 8 years experiences for sheet metal/plastic enclosure design.
3D Modeling experience, CREO is preferred
Demonstrated good English communication skills working with multinational design/operating team.
Familiar with energy storage system is preferred, good experience in metal chassis design, battery pack unit design, Busbar design, high current DC connector selection, safety insulation design, PCB stacking design, Package design validation.
Good understanding of thermal design concept for cabinet or rack system and familiar convection cooling behavior.
Ability to use simple machine tools for part modifications and rework at prototype or design stages.
Experience in ORV3 BBU/PSU/Power Shelf product design is preferred
Experience in UN38.3 or UL1973, UL9540/UL9540A requirements. (nice to have)
