Position Summary:
The role of Staff Marketing Programs Manager is responsible for advancing the use of next-generation sequencing (NGS) in specific markets that Illumina serves. The ideal candidate will have a strong blend of professional and/or educational experience in next generation sequencing as well as experience in multi-channel and integrated marketing communications development and execution. Candidates should also have demonstrated experience working cross-functionally in a large matrixed organization. This role will be responsible for planning, development, and execution of all regional marketing programs as it relates to Illumina’s multiomics products and research segments.
Responsibilities:
- Brainstorm, develop and execute meaningful and measurable regional multi-channel marketing plans in conjunction with global and sub-regional field marketing to drive pipeline acceleration and impact near-term revenue
- Interpret market data and input from the field marketing team to effectively leverage into marketing programs/action plans
- Manage the concurrent execution of a variety of marketing tactics within a given program and ensure linkage of tactics to overall segment strategy
- Effectively identify and use various marketing channels to achieve the desired response within a market segment
- Report and monitor campaign performance (KPI’s) and implement improvements in order to optimize campaign return on investment (ROI), and improve business impact
- Maintain and oversee campaign budget for respective areas of the business; this includes ensuring 95-100% of quarterly allocation is spent on Marketing Programs to drive near and long-term revenue goals
- Participate in quarterly and annual planning and review cycles
Requirements:
- Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and a Master’s degree
- Proven track record and experience in leading campaign development and execution
- Sales experience, research experience in a life science discipline, genomics experience, or hands-on sequencing experience, also highly desirable
