What You Will Do
- Lead the design and implementation of custom manufacturing equipment, workstations, tooling, and automation solutions that support production objectives.
- Develop and enhance manufacturing technologies to improve equipment performance, reliability, quality, and throughput.
- Support new product introductions by providing manufacturing equipment and process design expertise.
- Mentor engineers on machine design principles, equipment development, and manufacturing methods used to achieve defined product specifications.
- Direct equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, upgrades, and lifecycle management activities for manufacturing systems and controlled environments.
- Lead cross-functional engineering projects by defining requirements, managing timelines, documenting progress, and recommending technical solutions.
- Design and execute engineering tests and validation activities; analyze data and present recommendations based on results.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on cycle time reduction, defect reduction, production efficiency, and achievement of manufacturing performance targets.
What You Will Need
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required; Mechanical Engineering, Advanced Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or related disciplined preferred
- Minimum 4 years of engineering experience in manufacturing, equipment design, machine design, automated machinery, or a related technical field.
- Experience with mechanical design and development, including SolidWorks design and drawing creation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
- Familiarity with User Requirements Specification (URS) documentation practices
- Experience in medical device, pharmaceutical, or other regulated manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT)
