Shape the future of Observability at scale! We're seeking an engineer and technical leader, driven by a deep passion for observability. You'll be building the very systems that provide SentinelOne with comprehensive, real-time visibility & actionable insights across our large-scale global SaaS platform, deployed across 6 regions of AWS/GCP and processing Petabytes of data ingests and Trillions of security events a day; and serving all of our 15,000+ B2B/G customers (incl. 4 of Fortune10, and hundreds of Global2000) to manage all their cybersecurity products & services from S1 as well as from 3rd party connected security products.
In this central role, you'll leverage your expertise to design & implement robust solutions for high-volume data collection, storage & analysis, and enable us to monitor our own solutions. This is your chance to gain significant ownership over critical infrastructure, impacting the ability to gain insights and accelerate SW delivery.
What will you do?As a Staff Infrastructure Engineer, you'll be a pivotal technical leader and architect within our Observability team, drive strategic initiatives, and empower hundreds of engineers in dozens of teams across S1.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Architecting, building and improving internal platforms & tools that allow engineers at S1 to release code safely and efficiently - you will have E2E ownership of critical features, from initial requirements collection (in collaboration with other engineering teams across the company), through design, to deployment, and ongoing operational excellence
- Managing and operating the observability stack (Grafana, Prometheus, Thanos, OTEL) and serving as an SME for them across the company
- Working in complex, large-scale AWS, GCP and Kubernetes (EKS, GKE) environments, incl. improving efficient resource utilization and optimizing cost
- Developing automation to reduce manual operational tasks and on-call alerts, and implementing IaC practices
- Reviewing code and technical designs, providing constructive feedback, and raising the quality, reliability & readiness of our production systems
- Acting as a technical expert for troubleshooting complex system incidents and issues, and participating in on-call rotations
- Multiple years of hands-on experience in architecting & optimizing modern cloud-based infrastructure, with observability solutions, and in building reliable large-scale SaaS products
- Deep expertise in Grafana, Prometheus, Thanos/Mimir/Cortex, OTEL or similar tools
- Experience with Kubernetes (preferably with both public cloud and air-gapped deployments), and tools like Helm and Kustomize
- Deep expertise in at least one major platform like AWS or GCP, preferably in multi-cloud environments
- Solid grasp of CI/CD principles and various deployment strategies, such as blue-green, rolling deployments, and canary releases
- Hands-on experience with modern infra/engineering tools like GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Terraform, Ansible
- Solid proficiency in Golang (or other programming languages and willingness to learn GO)
- Excellent communication skills and ability to influence technical direction and mentor others
