Tria Federal is looking for a Staff I Consultant to join our team of dynamic healthcare consulting professionals supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs Community Care program. Our consultants play a critical role in the continued long-term growth of the company and spend significant time interacting with clients, coordinating and leading project team members, and developing and contributing to work products and contract deliverables. This role is well suited for a healthcare and health plan operations consultant who is adept at project management and process improvement. 

Requirements:   

  • 2 to 4 years of consulting or healthcare operations experience required, preferably in a federal consulting environment. 
  • Bachelor's degree required; Finance, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred. A Master's in Business Administration or related field is preferred. 
  • Knowledge and a working understanding of healthcare and/or health plan operations concepts, business processes, and/or provider networks within the healthcare industry (commercial or federal). 
  • Demonstrated ability to succeed in a dynamic environment and produce deliverables in tight timeframes, with excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

  • Contract Modifications and Requirements Development. 
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification is desired. 

Responsibilities:  

  • Seek the information, resources, and training needed to accomplish assigned tasks effectively; adhere to established project processes, procedures, and guidelines. 
  • Monitor and follow project plans, prioritize activities to meet timelines, identify and escalate issues quickly, and execute project management principles in accordance with defined work plans. 
  • Meet project-plan goals and deliverable deadlines while maintaining quality and integrity; efficiently manage time, prioritize tasks, and use available resources to meet internal and external deadlines. 
  • Actively participate within the team, exhibit an exemplary disposition, remain comfortable with change and ambiguity, and collaborate effectively with employees whose backgrounds or expertise differ. 
  • Maintain engagement with colleagues in support of Tria mission and goals and actively participate in internal and external initiatives. 
  • Develop effective internal and external presentations and skillfully facilitate client and internal team meetings. 
  • Accurately document client communications and share relevant information with the project team. 
  • Bring a tendency toward action, innovative ideas, and the ability to anticipate where a client's needs may be 12 months from now to help achieve extraordinary results.
