About Mytra:

We’re creating an entirely new way to solve the most ubiquitous problem in industry - moving and storing material. We’re applying robotics and distributed software to create a new class of product for this $1T market. We’re focused on the supply chain industry first. The industry is in a massive bind with the continued growth of e-commerce, sharp rise in costs, and supply chain disruptions. What has been a “sleepy” industry for decades is now at the epicenter of sustaining the global economy.

About the role

As Staff GSM, Contract Manufacturing, you'll own one of the most strategically consequential parts of Mytra's supply chain: how and where our products get built. This is a greenfield, senior individual contributor role - you'll evaluate the global CM landscape, lead our make vs. buy analysis across multiple manufacturing scenarios, and build the partnerships and commercial frameworks from scratch.

You'll play a central role in Mytra's manufacturing strategy - contributing to a board-level recommendation on how we scale from pilot production to volume - and you'll own the supply chain workstream that feeds it. You'll be Mytra's face to the outside manufacturing world, managing CM relationships at the executive level and ensuring our contract manufacturing base can scale alongside our customer pipeline and product roadmap.

What you’ll do:
  • Evaluate the global CM landscape and lead the Supply Chain inputs for Mytra's make vs. buy analysis - supporting the assessment of full outsource, sub-assembly-only, and hybrid manufacturing scenarios across an evolving product portfolio to inform a board-level strategy recommendation.
  • Prequalify CM partners through rigorous capability, financial, and strategic assessments - including structured RFQ execution, site visits, and IP/trade-secret risk evaluation before sharing proprietary design data with candidates.
  • Build and own deep strategic relationships with CM partners at all levels - serving as Mytra's primary point of contact, including executive-level engagement and QBRs.
  • Own all CM commercial agreements - MSAs, pricing frameworks, volume commitments, tooling and NRE terms, and long-term supply agreements.
  • Develop should-cost models to anchor negotiations and drive continuous TCO improvement across price, yield, overhead, and logistics.
  • Own CM capacity planning - translating roadmap and demand signals into multi-year reservations, investment commitments, and risk mitigation, with visibility from pilot through high-volume production.
  • Own CM onboarding and transition planning post-award - defining the operational model, quality gates, and supply chain handoffs needed to move smoothly from selection to NPI to production.
  • Govern the sub-tier supply chain - establishing visibility into CM supply dependencies, identifying concentration risks, and driving mitigation.
  • Lead CM engagement through NPI and ramp - DFM feedback, first articles, proto builds, and production scale-up.
  • Present strategy, partner selection, commercial terms, and risk assessments to Mytra's senior leadership with clarity and confidence.
  • Use automation and AI tools to reduce manual effort and improve visibility across CM operations.
Ideal Candidates
  • Have 8–12+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, supply chain, or contract manufacturing management within hardware, robotics, automotive, consumer electronics, or industrial sectors.
  • Bring deep hands-on experience managing contract manufacturers - as a true strategic partner who understands what it takes to make a CM relationship work from prototype through volume scale.
  • Have proven commercial depth - they've owned MSAs, long-term supply agreements, and complex negotiations, and know how to structure deals that create genuine alignment between a hardware company and its manufacturing partners.
  • Are comfortable contributing to board-level strategy deliverables - synthesizing CM sourcing findings, scenario trade-offs, and recommendations into executive-ready materials.
  • Have built and owned capacity planning processes - able to translate demand uncertainty into structured commitments and risk mitigation plans.
  • Have sub-tier supply chain experience - comfortable going below the CM to understand and influence the supply chain that feeds it.
  • Are strong communicators and presenters - confident presenting strategy and risk to senior leadership, and credible representing Mytra in senior-level supplier engagements.
  • Bring technical fluency - able to engage meaningfully with engineering on DFM, manufacturability, and process capability.
  • Thrive in ambiguous, fast-moving environments and are energized by the challenge of building something from the ground up.
Nice to have:
  • Experience scaling a CM relationship from early prototype through volume production at a hardware startup or robotics company.
  • Familiarity with FATP operations and the supply chain dynamics of complex electromechanical assemblies.
  • Experience managing CM relationships internationally and navigating geopolitical supply chain risks.
  • Knowledge of tooling ownership, amortization structures, and tooling risk management.
  • Exposure to multi-tier supply chain governance - VMI, consignment, sub-tier audit programs.
A Final Note:

If this role excites you, we encourage you to apply — even if you don’t check every box. At Mytra, we build bots, but we hire humans. We value thoughtful challengers who communicate with clarity and respect, and we’re lifelong learners committed to getting better every day. We move fast, learn faster, and show up for each other under pressure. The best outcomes come from diverse perspectives working together to build something meaningful and built to last
