Staff Full Stack Engineer, Client Management

As a Staff Full Stack Engineer at Ridgeline, you’ll have the unique opportunity to build complex, industry-changing cloud applications for our Client Management solutions. This role combines technical expertise with the freedom to innovate, allowing you to design and implement cutting-edge FinTech applications. You’ll join a team dedicated to pushing technological boundaries while fostering a dynamic and collaborative culture. Leveraging the latest advancements in software development, including AI tools like GitHub Copilot and ChatGPT, you’ll play a vital role in delivering innovative solutions that redefine the investment management industry.

What will you do?

• Join a dynamic team where UX, Strategy, and Engineering work closely together to shape our Client Management products
• Engage in the complete software development process, from requirements gathering and design reviews to implementing new features
• Influence and enhance our cloud-native tech stack based on AWS, contributing to scalable, high-quality applications
• Develop automation tools that ensure our applications are reliable and scalable, meeting the high standards our customers expect
• Inspire and guide teams of product engineers, fostering an environment of high performance, defect-free code, and secure enterprise applications
• Own problems, seek innovative solutions, and communicate clearly with the team throughout the process
• Contribute to a culture of learning, teaching, and transparency, where everyone's input is valued

Desired Skills and Experience

• 8+ years in software engineering or a related field
• Degree in Computer Science, Information Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience
• Proficiency with React, Jest, JavaScript, and TypeScript
• Skilled in JVM languages (Java, Kotlin), RESTful/GraphQL APIs, and SQL
• Experience building cloud-native applications on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Expertise in automated testing at all levels
• Eagerness to learn new technologies while mastering a specific business domain or problem space
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and architectural patterns
• Experience with solutions for high volume performance challenges
• Ability to focus on short-term deliverables while keeping a long-term perspective
• Strong aptitude for complex problem-solving
• Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels and across functions
• Serious interest in having fun at work

Bonus:

• Experience with Docker and containerization
• Knowledge of AWS services (ECS/Fargate, Kafka/MSK) and infrastructure (IaC/Terraform)
• Familiarity with Agile development practices
• Background in investment or asset management, or CRM applications
• Experience in design, economics, or finance
• Familiarity with Datadog
