As a Staff Frontend Engineer at Turnkey, you’ll lead the evolution of how developers build on Turnkey. That means owning the ergonomics, architecture, and interface design of our frontend SDKs (React, React Native, Typescript) - the components our customers embed directly into their apps to integrate Turnkey.

You’ll also be responsible for contributing to our own frontend surface area – including our dashboard and internal UI tools – but the core of this role is shaping developer-facing SDKs that feel effortless, secure, and future-proof. You’ll pair deeply with engineering teammates, contribute to core infrastructure, and set the bar for frontend excellence across the company.

What You'll Do

• Own and evolve our frontend SDKs: architect user flows, manage versioning, shape developer ergonomics, and build in patterns that scale

• Design and implement UI components using React and Typescript, across both SDKs and internal surfaces like our dashboard

• Partner with engineering and product teams to build examples, demos, and documentation that meet developers where they are

• Act as a player / coach internally – setting standards, offering guidance, and reviewing code with an eye towards craft and polish

• Build with empathy: think like a user and a customer, and shape SDKs that are intuitive, secure, and hard to misuse

• Help define frontend best practices and tooling within Turnkey

What We're Looking For

• 8+ years of engineering experience, including meaningful time spent building developer tools, SDKs, or design systems

• Deep fluency with modern frontend technologies, especially React, React Native, and Typescript

• Experience building and maintaining frontend SDKs used by external developers

• A strong product mindset and sharp technical instincts: you think about the “why,” not just the “how”

Style Points

• Experience with authentication flows, session management, and secure browser interactions

• Contributions to open source projects

• Prior work on design systems or component libraries at scale

• Prior professional crypto experience; familiarity with the crypto frontend stack (ethers.js, web3.js, EIP-1193, client-side private key management, etc.)
