The Okta IAM team owns, configures, and manages Okta’s own internal implementations of Okta to support workforce, customer, and federal use cases. We aim to showcase the Okta platform and strive to make our implementations the reference for how identity challenges can and should be solved using Okta technology. In this role you will report to the VP of IAM and manage a high-performance team that is on the forefront of enriching, deploying, and supporting our organization’s own implementations of the Okta platform and complementary identity security capabilities. Responsibilities:

  • Guide development and administrative activities and provide design direction by leveraging your deep technical experience.
  • Partner with the IAM Product function to determine prioritization and intake for project and business-as-usual
  • Provide leadership and guidance to a growing team of Identity Engineers, and ensure that high-quality deliverables routinely prioritized and delivered for our internal stakeholders
  • Partner with the cross-functional teams to build scalable solutions to support and harden our identity posture.
  • Provide input to development of product vision, strategy to support organizational and departmental VMTs
  • Support cross-functional product requests, while ensuring enablement and alignment on the engagement model
  • Follow key processes to optimize getting things done, simplify complexity, and identify opportunities for synergy and integration
  • Facilitate design strategy and successful execution of playbook adoption, planning, and intake processes

Qualifications

  • 6+ years experience/or skillset equivalent implementing and/or supporting enterprise IAM solutions
  • Expertise with industry IAM concepts and best practices, particularly relating to SSO, MFA, IGA, and PAM
  • Knowledge of security and compliance frameworks such as NIST/FedRamp, SOX, SOC, ISO, SOC2, PCI, ZeroTrust, SaaS Security Framework, Data Security Foundations, etc.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs, scripting, SQL, and other supporting technologies
  • Demonstrated knowledge of working within SDLC and agile methodologies
  • Experience leading and developing other engineers
  • Great communications and interpersonal influencing skills
  • Leads by a automation first mindset

Additional requirements:

  • This position requires the ability to access federal environments and/or have access to protected federal data.  As a condition of employment for this position, the successful candidate must be able to submit documentation establishing U.S. Person status (e.g. a U.S. Citizen, National, Lawful Permanent Resident, Refugee, or Asylee. 22 CFR 120.15) upon hire.

The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in the San Francisco Bay area is between:

$191,000$287,000 USD

Below is the annual base salary range for candidates located in California, Colorado, New York and Washington. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits, including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies. The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in California (excluding San Francisco Bay Area), Colorado, New York, and Washington is between:

$170,000$256,000 USD
