About the Role
We’re looking for you—a skilled Staff Engineer passionate about building innovative data solutions. In this role, you’ll design and maintain products that power dentsu’s B2B marketing vision using cutting-edge cloud technologies. You’ll collaborate with a team that values creativity, problem-solving, and delivering real business impact.
What You’ll Do
- Lead project initiatives and foster collaboration across teams.
- Mentor and support engineers as they grow in their careers.
- Partner with stakeholders—Product, Data, Design, and Executive teams—to solve technical challenges and strengthen data infrastructure.
- Build and optimize data pipelines and monthly data assets.
- Coordinate with other teams to ensure seamless data sharing.
- Communicate clearly and document processes for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Research and introduce new technologies, including Snowflake Native App development.
- Use Agile practices and AI tools to deliver features quickly and effectively.
- Apply best practices throughout the development lifecycle: design, implement, test, review, and deploy using CI/CD.
- Participate in quality assurance, automated testing, and on-call support.
- Help onboard clients and collaborate with client solution teams.
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and innovative team culture.
What You Bring
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems—or equivalent experience.
- 6+ years of software development experience.
- Strong leadership and collaboration skills.
- Solid understanding of database fundamentals, SQL, and relational/non-relational data models.
- Expertise in Python (Java is a plus).
- Experience with big data platforms (Snowflake preferred).
- Familiarity with Agile development, version control (Git, Bitbucket), and CI/CD pipelines.
- Proficient in Vibe Coding
- Knowledge of containerized environments (Snowpark preferred; Docker is a plus).
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Experience with cloud technologies (AWS preferred; Azure or GCP also welcome).
- Understanding of data workflows (Airflow, Snowflake streams/tasks) and distributed systems.
- Unix command line and Bash scripting skills are a plus.

At dentsu, we believe great work happens when we’re connected. Our way of working combines flexibility with in-person collaboration to spark ideas and strengthen our teams. Employees who live within a commutable distance of one of our hub offices, currently located in Chicago, metro Detroit, Los Angeles, and New York City, are required and expected to work from the office three days per week (two days per week for employees based in Los Angeles). Dentsu may designate other Hub offices at any time. Those who live outside a commutable range may be designated as remote, depending on the role and business needs. Regardless of your work location, we expect our employees to be flexible to meet the needs of our Company and clients, which may include attendance in an office.
The annual salary range for this position is $113K - $182,850. Placement within the salary range is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law.
