THE OPPORTUNITY
As part of our continued investment in Ireland, KKR is launching a Technology & Engineering Centre of Excellence in Dublin. This new hub will play a central role in building the world’s first technology platform engineered to manage over one trillion dollars in alternative AUM (assets under management.) Designed from the ground up for scale, security and speed, this is the infrastructure for the future of global finance. Areas of focus include investment technology, portfolio construction and management, liquidity solutions, risk analytics, and advanced data platforms.

THE ROLE
KKR is looking to add a talented Full Stack Staff Engineer to its Technology team. Our agile team is responsible for delivering solutions to aid in driving our world class team through investment strategy, portfolio management and operations, providing differentiated outcomes to internal and external clients. You’ll work on a cloud-native tech stack of micro services leveraging Kubernetes and modern approaches to CI/CD. We primarily use React on the front end as well as Python & C# on the backend. As a Staff Engineer, you will help further the standard for engineering excellence not only on the team but across the entire organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Write and review code, and deploy systems that facilitate our business
- Participate in application design and architecture reviews
- Engage in an agile, iterative software development process
- Inspire excellence through strong leadership and coaching/ mentorship
- Collaborate closely with business, product and engineering stakeholders
- Break down complex problems into simple, creative, and effective solutions
- Build solutions for high availability, observability, and maintainability
- Provide support for all aspects of the part of the platform you own
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- 7+ years of software engineering experience
- At least 2 years of experience with cloud-based service-oriented architecture
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical field (Engineering/Mathematics/Computer Science)
- Advanced knowledge of an object-oriented programming language (such as python) with a proven track record of delivering high-quality data applications
- Strong background in databases and data pipelines
- Exposure to web programming and related frameworks (e.g. HTML, JS, React); full-stack experience a strong plus
- Experience in designing, delivering, and securing data-rich web applications
- Interest in finance, hard-working and eager to learn in a fast-paced, innovative commercial environment
- Strong communication skills for interacting with business stakeholders.
- Ability to think strategically and act tactically with exceptional attention to detail
- Demonstrated curiosity, analytical skills, and resourcefulness with a proven record of ownership and the ability to deliver results in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment.
