Now we’re looking for a Staff Engineer to join us. This is an amazing opportunity to join a growing company and make a real impact on the future of our product while playing a critical role in the design and development of our products. In this key role, you will be solving architectural and engineering challenges, and mentoring development teams in their day-to-day work.
Responsibilities:
- Researching new technologies and adapting them for use in Cato
- Be the go-to person for the most difficult problems.
- Technically mentor team members, review code and provide feedback
- Leading software standards and best practices for teams.
- Design and develop microservices using the newest methodologies
- Collaborate with various stakeholders - product management, security researcher, other R&D groups in Cato and more
Requirements:
- 4+ years of hands-on technical leadership as a Staff Engineer/Tech Lead
- 10+ years of hands-on programming experience in backend development. We’re using Java, Go, Play framework, Spring boot, SQL, etc.
- Experience with microservices, Docker, and Kubernetes
- Experience with Cloud-based infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Experience with different relational and non relational databases such as MySQL, MongoDB, ClickHouse is an advantage.
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Kibana, Grafana, and DataDog is an advantage
- A team player with excellent collaboration skills
- Able to self-learn new skills and technologies
- Motivated, a fast learner, independent, and great at problem-solving
- BSc. degree in Computer Science
