Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

Product Validation & Quality Assurance

·       Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test procedures.

·       Validate functional, integration, system, end-to-end, and regression requirements.

·       Perform software verification and validation activities throughout the product lifecycle.

·       Review product requirements and technical specifications to identify test scenarios and quality risks.

·       Strong technical debugging and reporting skills of problems on a complex industrial system using Linux

·       Investigate software defects, perform root cause analysis, and collaborate with development teams to resolve issues.

·       Participate in release readiness reviews and ensure product quality standards are met.

·       Advocate quality engineering best practices and shift-left testing principles.

·       AI integration skills for developing and designing test tool and dashboards

Test Automation

·       Design, develop, and maintain scalable, modular automated test frameworks.

·       Design and Develop simulators for physical layers like Modbus, Wireless devices

·       Proficiency in one or more programming languages: Python, Java, JavaScript

·       Experience with one or more automation frameworks : Pytest, Selenium, Robot Framework, Cypress, Playwright

·       Create automated test suites for:

o   Web applications

o   APIs

o   Backend services

o   Industrial control systems

·       Design and work on Nonfunctional requirements for scaled systems using simulations and defined strategy

·       Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing.

·       Improve automation coverage, execution efficiency, and reporting capabilities.

Industrial Automation & Controls Testing

·       Validate control system applications.

·       Test communication interfaces and protocols such as:

o   Modbus

o   MQTT

o   OPC UA

o   IEC 61850 (preferred)

·       Validate interactions between software applications and field devices, controllers, PLCs, and SCADA systems.

·       Support Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) and Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) test activities.

·       Participate in system-level testing and customer acceptance testing where required.

Required Qualifications

Education

·       Bachelor's Degree (BE/B.Tech) in:

o   Electrical Engineering

o   Electronics & Communication Engineering

o   Computer Science

o   Related Engineering Discipline

·       Masters Degree Mtech/MS in:

o   Electrical Engineering

o   Electronics & Communication Engineering

o   Computer Science

o   Related Engineering Discipline

Experience

·       5-7 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance or Test Engineering.

·       Experience in automation testing of enterprise software products and industrial control systems.

·       Proven experience developing automated test solutions and frameworks.

Tools & Technologies

·       Git / GitHub

·       Jenkins / GitHub Actions

·       CI/CD pipelines

·       Linux environments

·       Docker

·       REST APIs

·       Test Management Tools (Jira, Xray, Zephyr, TestRail)

Preferred Qualifications

·       Familiarity with Cloud platforms (AWS or Azure).

·       Experience with containerized applications and microservices.

·       Knowledge of cybersecurity testing concepts for industrial systems.

·       Exposure to performance, scalability, reliability, and resiliency testing.
