Staff Engineer, System Infrastructure

Responsibilities:

Ensure highest level of performance and security collaboratively with the infrastructure team, through strong leadership and open communication. Work closely with other IT team members to ensure optimal teamwork and performance. Implement processes for maintaining a stable environment. Work closely with various vendors to ensure prompt support and resolution to issues. Oversee the research, evaluation and integration of innovative technologies and approaches. Establish, develop, and maintain relations and communications with vendors to better understand how they can help us to move forward.

• On Premise and Cloud Base Virtualization Services

• Hardware Infrastructure Management

• Network and Security remediation

• Reporting and Classification

• Hardware and Platform Patching

• Monitoring and incident response       

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).3+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, with a focus on security and patch management.

• Expertise and Proficiency in Identification, classification of Vulnerabilities and Reporting

• Hands-on experience with network security, endpoint protection, and vulnerability management tools.

• Familiarity with patch management tools (e.g., WSUS, SCCM, Ivanti, or equivalent).

• Expertise and Proficiency in asset management

Desired Qualifications:

• Extensive knowledge of IP networking, Design, IP addressing, DNS (local and Internet), Routing, Switching, VLANs, etc.

• Experience and competencies in IT Cybersecurity protection and best practices.

• Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS) and enterprise software solutions.

• Proficiency in security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, or CIS benchmarks.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH are a plus.
