What does this role entail? 

Are you passionate about developing innovative software solutions? We are seeking a talented and motivated Staff Engineer to join our dynamic team working on fighting  financial crime through a transaction monitoring solution. This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge product features, collaborate with experienced professionals, and contribute to the growth and success of Fenergo. You should be able to 

• Design, build, and maintain complex applications that scale with our growing customer base.  

• Lead technical architecture discussions, ensuring the platform is performant, maintainable, and secure. 

• Raise the bar for technical excellence through code, documentation, and reviews 

• Leverage cutting edge AI tools to enhance the engineering workflow 

• Define and drive best practices in testing, observability, and system reliability.  

• Champion a culture of technical excellence and innovation, influencing engineering direction across multiple teams or domains.  

• Coach and mentor engineers in their implementations, fostering technical growth and collaboration. 

Key Expectations 

• 8+ years of professional hands-on software development experience  

• Strong experience in Python Development, including hands on coding experience 

• Proven track record in leading building SaaS products 

• Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure and AWS Services (Lambda, Redshift, DynamoDB, Elastic search, SNS, SQS, ..) 

• Experience of the DevOps lifecycle including the CI/CD practices  

• Full stack - design, build, test, deliver and support  

• Experience with estimating delivery times and splitting functional requirements into smaller technical deliverables  

Nice to Have 

• Knowledge of data engineering tools (e.g., Apache Airflow, Spark) 

• Familiarity with front-end frameworks (e.g., React)
