Job Summary
Key Responsibilities
• 12+ years systems/storage performance engineering at staff/principal level.
• Deep Linux storage I/O path and kernel module profiling/tuning.
• Distributed storage benchmarking at scale (fio, file-system tools).
• NVMe/NVMe-oF, block-device internals, erasure coding / RAID data paths.
• RDMA (RoCEv2/InfiniBand), TCP offload, NUMA-aware tuning.
• C, Python, and Linux perf tooling (perf, ftrace, eBPF, flamegraphs).
• Add build gating and smoke-test stages so broken builds never reach QE.
Preferred Skills:
• Lustre performance (LNet, OSTs/MDTs, obdfilter-survey, client fio).
• Software-defined NVMe-oF / distributed block storage internals.
• Cloud bare-metal (OCI/GCP), dense NVMe platforms.
• OFED/MOFED/DOCA driver evaluation, ConnectX-class NIC tuning.
Skills Required
- 12+ years of systems or storage performance engineering experience at staff or principal level
- Deep experience with Linux storage I/O path and kernel module profiling and tuning
- Experience with distributed storage benchmarking at scale using fio and filesystem tools
- Knowledge of NVMe, NVMe-oF, block-device internals, erasure coding, and RAID data paths
- Experience with RDMA, RoCEv2, InfiniBand, TCP offload, and NUMA-aware tuning
- Proficiency in C, Python, and Linux performance tooling including perf, ftrace, eBPF, and flamegraphs
- Lustre performance experience, including LNet, OSTs, MDTs, obdfilter-survey, and client fio
- Experience with software-defined NVMe-oF or distributed block storage internals
- Experience with cloud bare-metal platforms such as OCI or GCP and dense NVMe platforms
- Experience evaluating OFED, MOFED, or DOCA drivers and tuning ConnectX-class NICs
