As a Staff Engineer, Manufacturing, you will provide technical leadership for manufacturing processes, validation activities, CNC machining operations, and continuous improvement initiatives while serving as a subject matter expert in your assigned area. This role partners closely with production, quality, suppliers, and engineering teams to support compliant, efficient, and scalable manufacturing operations.
What You Will Do
- Lead manufacturing engineering projects, equipment qualifications, and process validation activities while ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory requirements.
- Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot manufacturing processes, including CNC machining operations, to improve efficiency, quality, and cost performance.
- Generate, review, and approve validation documentation, technical reports, process studies, and engineering change records in accordance with established procedures.
- Collaborate with quality and operations teams to investigate manufacturing issues, support nonconformance and corrective action activities, perform risk assessments, and implement process improvements.
- Provide technical training and subject matter expertise for production personnel, standardize manufacturing best practices, and lead Lean continuous improvement initiatives.
What You Will Need
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science (Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, Production Engineering, or related discipline).
- Minimum 4 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Minimum 4 years of CNC programming and manufacturing experience.
- Experience with CNC machining processes including CNC turning, multi-axis machining, Swiss machining, or 5-axis milling.
- Experience with CAM software such as Mastercam, FeatureCAM, Esprit, or equivalent.
- Experience with CAD software such as Creo, NX, SolidWorks, Autodesk, or equivalent.
- Experience with process validation, verification activities, and production process troubleshooting in a regulated manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
Preferred:
- Lean Certification.
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt Certification.
- Experience supporting CNC machine controls or programming platforms such as Mazatrol, Fanuc, or similar systems.
- Experience leading capital equipment implementation, installation, and validation projects.
