The Allegro team is united by a clear purpose—advancing technologies that make the world safer, more efficient, and more sustainable. With over 30 years of experience in semiconductor innovation, we bring that purpose to life across every part of the business—from breakthrough product development and customer success to how we show up for each other and the communities we serve.
The Opportunity
At Allegro Microsystems, "Innovation with Purpose" extends beyond our products and into the very way we operate. As a Lead Lean Six Sigma Engineer, you will be at the forefront of our operational excellence journey. You will have the opportunity to lead high-visibility projects that directly impact process performance, yield, and cost-efficiency. This role is ideal for a strategic problem-solver who thrives on driving a culture of continuous improvement across global manufacturing sites and cross-functional teams.
What You Will Do
- Lead Strategic Projects: Execute Lean Six Sigma (DMAIC) projects to improve quality, yield, cycle time, and cost. You will develop project charters, risk assessments, and control plans to ensure benefits are realized and sustained.
- Identify & Eliminate Waste: Use Lean tools (VSM, Kaizen, 5S, Kanban, SMED, Poka Yoke) to identify and remove process inefficiencies and bottlenecks (TIMWOOD).
- Advanced Data Analytics: Apply statistical methods (SPC, regression, hypothesis testing, DOE) and use tools like Minitab to identify root causes and implement data-driven solutions.
- Collaborate & Influence: Partner with manufacturing, engineering, quality, and supply chain teams to identify "pain areas" and present findings and recommendations to leadership.
- Mentor & Coach: Promote a culture of operational excellence by coaching and mentoring Green Belts, Yellow Belts, and other team members on Lean Six Sigma principles.
- Monitor Performance: Track KPIs and quality metrics, support CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action) activities, and align all initiatives with business objectives and customer requirements.
What You Will Bring
- Educational Foundation: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Lean Manufacturing, or a related technical field.
- Professional Certification: Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (preferred) or Green Belt with proven project experience, along with a Lean Manufacturing certification.
- Proven Experience: 5+ years of experience in Lean Six Sigma within a manufacturing operations environment.
- Technical Toolkit:
- Strong proficiency in DMAIC, Lean principles, and statistical analysis tools.
- Expertise in data analysis software such as Minitab or equivalent.
- Exceptional problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
- Leadership Skills: Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills with a track record of leading cross-functional teams through complex improvement initiatives.
