What’s the opportunity?
We are looking for a thoughtful, experienced Senior Java Developer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will join a team that takes full responsibility implementing new features, improving performance, and building robust solutions for our payments products and more!
What will you be doing?
- 5+ years of software development experience using Java SE
- Knowledge of microservices architecture
- Experience working with: Spring, Maven, Java
- Knowledge of other language ecosystems, for example, Node/Express, GoLang/Gin.
- Experience using in production with relational databases (MySQL, AuroraDB, Postgresql, Oracle) and optimizing queries for performance.
- Experience using in production with non-relational databases (redis, DynamoDB, mongoDB)
- Experience with Cloud Providers such as AWS (preferred) or GCP.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines is a plus
- Experience with Platform tools such as K8s, Docker, is a plus
- Written and spoken English
- Ability to translate user requirements into technical solutions
- Ability to quickly master new technologies
- Ability to work independently

Skills Required
- 7+ years hands-on software development experience in Java SE
- Experience with Spring and Spring Boot
- Experience with microservice architectures
- Object-oriented analysis and design, knowledge of Java internals (classloading, memory, transactions)
- Knowledge of relational and non-relational (NoSQL) databases
- Experience with cloud providers (AWS preferred, GCP)
- Ability to quickly adapt to Python codebases
- Strong understanding of financial/reconciliation business logic and data quality
- Experience driving automation (tests, tooling, validations, alerts, auto-reconciliation)
- Advanced English and ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Based in Montevideo, Uruguay or Buenos Aires, Argentina
