Job Description
We are seeking a world-class Firmware Engineer to work on a wide variety of advanced next-generation high performance flash storage devices.
This is a high-impact, high visibility opportunity for the individual with superior technical skills and an enthusiasm for success.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop & debug firmware for storage products using C and C++.
- Debug and implement solutions to complex system level issues of storage devices.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including hardware, validation & system integration test teams.
- Design and develop debug infrastructure for enabling quick diagnosis of failures.
- Design, develop & analyze diagnostic data, debug logs and event data.
- Drive issue resolution to enable predictable and high-quality product to customer.
Qualifications
- B.Tech / M.Tech. in Computer Science or Electronics Engineering
- 5+ years of experience in firmware development for embedded systems, with a focus on storage devices
- Strong proficiency in C/C++ programming with hands-on experience
- Strong debugging, problem-solving skills, and log/trace analysis.
- Ability to analyze complex firmware & hardware issues
- Experience with performance optimization of complex embedded systems.
- Demonstrated experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) such as ThreadX, Nucleus, or VxWorks
- In-depth knowledge of ARM or ARC processor families, including debugging environments and tools
- Solid understanding of NAND flash fundamentals and storage interface protocols (e.g., NVMe, NVMe MI, SATA)
- Good understanding of PCIe/ SMBUS/ I2C/ I3C/USB is expected.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and continuous integration tools
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across cultural and organizational boundaries.
- Experience with scripting automation using Python will be a plus
